Mechanical Estimator (Heavy Process)


Our client is a well established multidisciplinary engineering consultancy that specialises in providing a quality service to the Oil & Gas, Power Generation, Chemical and heavy process industries.


Role Responsibility

Duties will include: - Generate estimates for bought out items, engineering costs etc to formulate the basis of a commercially sound tender. - Generate the mechanical engineering content of tender documents as necessary, as an individual or as part of a team. - Understand client and company specifications and fully define the mechanical engineering scope of works. - Identify and document all variations to and deviations from client specification. - Prepare enquiries, assess the technical content of returned quotations and respond to technical queries raised by vendors. - Implement company procedures for estimating and costing plant and services. - Analyse current contract records/times/costs to promote in-house feedback for estimating purposes by development of estimating database.

Due to ongoing success and increasing work load have identified a need for a Mechanical Estimator to join their team in the North West
.

The Requirement

Ideal Mechanical Estimators must have a minimum HNC/ HND qualification in mechanical engineering, and have relevant process industry experience. Knowledge of Heat Exchangers is essential as well as some experience in an electrical or instrumentation environment .
