After 12 years in the metal industry, the frustration of having to trawl the internet endlessly searching for information took it's toll, and my patience faultered.  When searching for suppliers I found very often that despite their claims on-line that they could supply given products, they infact could not fulfill my requirements, my time had been wasted and back to square one I would go.

The idea of a website where all the information I needed was in one place excited me.  Further more, why was there not an industry specific site with a concise eacy to use directory, allowing me to search very specifically for given products, directing me to suppliers who could actually fulfill requirements.  Market research with colleagues and fellow professionals in the industry indicated that this was a sound concept... following which engineering-alloys.com was developed.
